Kellyanne Conway tests positive for coronavirus

Kellyanne Conway, the former senior adviser to President Donald Trump, on Friday announced on Twitter that she has tested positive for the coronavirus.

Conway, who worked in the White House until last month and was one of the president’s campaign managers in 2016, was one of more than 150 guests who attended the Rose Garden event where Trump announced the nomination of Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court.

“My symptoms are mild (light cough) and I’m feeling fine,” Conway tweeted. “I have begun a quarantine process in consultation with physicians.”

Trump, first lady Melania Trump, Sen. Mike Lee of Utah, Sen. Thom Tillis of North Carolina and Notre Dame President John Jenkins were at the Rose Garden ceremony and all tested positive.
