Once individuals go into survival mode, there’s no telling what will happen. France got a front row seat to what can occur when it comes to the rising cost of living. The weekend of October 17-18, things turned violent when what began as demonstrations involving students, workers, and labor unions quickly turned into riots in several major cities, including Paris. Luxury stores like Apple, Louis Vuitton, Rolex and more were extensively looted and vandalized across multiple French cities during nationwide protests. The protests became so violent, French President Macron ordered deployment of additional 7,000 troops to regain control, also vowing that that responsible will be held accountable.
