Jay-Z is stepping into the spotlight! The hip-hop mogul has officially been announced as the headliner for the Super Bowl 61 halftime show, and the twist? He chose himself!

The NFL, Apple Music and Roc Nation announced the news on Monday, October 26. The big performance is scheduled for February 14, 2027, at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.

Jay-Z, who has helped select and produce Super Bowl halftime performances since Roc Nation partnered with the NFL in 2019, will finally take the stage himself. Over the years, he has helped bring some of music’s biggest stars to the Super Bowl, including Rihanna, Usher and Kendrick Lamar.

The 25-time Grammy Award winner says performing on the world’s biggest stage is a dream come true, especially as he celebrates 30 years in the music business since releasing his debut album, Reasonable Doubt, in 1996.

Now, the question on everybody’s mind is: Who will join him onstage? Could we see his superstar wife, Beyoncé, make a surprise appearance? Or might he bring out some of hip-hop’s biggest legends?

One thing is certain: Jay-Z is betting on himself, and fans will be watching to see what he has planned for one of the biggest entertainment stages in the world!

What do you think? Is Jay-Z the right choice to headline the Super Bowl 61 halftime show?
