DeSantis has declared a state of emergency in Florida after a pipeline shutdown in response to hackers who locked up computer systems and are demanding a ransom to release them. The Colonial Pipeline is the biggest fuel pipeline in the U.S. and delivers about 45% of what we consume on the East Coast, according to WSVN. While some operations resumed manually late Monday we won’t see most of the operations restart until the end of the week.
