Alex has more than 20 years experience in marketing and business development, as a startup entrepreneur, university professor, and author. He has a strong background in small business marketing, social media, and email marketing. Alex draws from this experience to be a valuable resource to small businesses, nonprofits, and associations in South Florida. Over the past five years, he has educated more than 7,500 businesses nationally and internationally about social media and online marketing. He is also a founding member of RefreshMiami. He holds an MBA from Insead in Fontainebleau, France and is fluent in English, French, Portuguese, Spanish, and Finnish. Her professional trajectory includes work in strategy, human capital management, technology, and change management. She holds a B.A in Psychology and Government from Harvard University and an M.A. in Organizational Psychology from Columbia University. She currently serves as the Chief Innovation & Technology for Roots of Hope, a nonprofit network that works to empower youth in Cuba though technological and entrepreneurial support. She is also the Co-Founder of Awesome Foundation MIAMI, a group of young professionals committed to engaging the community by awarding $1,000 grants to ideas that impact the Greater Miami Area. Most recently, she was involved in the launch of Creative Mornings in our city and has collaborated closely with the World Economic Forum to establish a Global Shapers hub in Miami.
