Move 2 Motion is a series of seminars designed for those curious about creating film, video or motion work. It is especially designed for still photographers, who are wondering if they should offer motion as a service to their exiting clients. We will explore why it is important for you to consider motion and you will learn how to set up your HDDSLR camera for motion capture, how to record audio, how to build your DSLR camera in to a professional motion capture device and you will discover how motion can change minds at hand of a case study of the short documentary film "On Wings of Hope", that was filmed in Afghanistan.
Pascal Depuhl is a Miami based professional photographer and commercial cinematographer, that creates visual content for his clients. He has been creating photos for over 20 years and began creating motion work in 2011. He produced and tutored at the 2012 Filmmaking Masterclass with Nino Leitner and Philip Bloom in Las Vegas and Key West and serves on ASMP's motion committee.
Move2Motion will offer two separate seminars in Fort Lauderdale: the basic and intermediate. You can pick one or both, however if you only choose the intermediate seminar, it is assumed that you have mastered the basic settings of your HDDSLR for video and are familiar with the equipment, that is being discussed in the basic seminar (such as native ISO, ND Faders, follow focus, EVF, dual system sound, …). If you scratch your head on any of these terms, you should be in the basic seminar.
Pascal writes a blog about filmmaking, photography and technology. Follow him on Twitter @moviesbydepuhl.
