WHEN: Meeting on Tuesdays starting November 1, 2011 from 4:00 pm (45 min class) WHERE: Play and Learn Preschool, 2485 SW 22 Ave Miami WHO: 3- to 10-year-old children Cost per class is $15 including all materials and supplies Art Exploration Play and Learn Preschool is offering an after school class for children ages 3 to 10. This class has been developed to encourage children explore and express themselves through art activities. Children will have the opportunity to work in small groups in guided activity-based art projects. Art Exploration will cover a variety of projects and techniques in different media, including water-color, collage, painting, drawing and the use of recycled objects. Early exposure to visual art, music, or drama promotes brain development. Art helps children understand other subjects much more clearly —from math and science, to language arts and geography. Art nurtures inventiveness as it engages children in a process that aids in the development of self-esteem, self-discipline, cooperation, and self-motivation. Participating in art activities helps children to gain the tools necessary for understanding human experience, adapting to and respecting others' ways of working and thinking, devel- oping creative problem-solving skills, and communicating thoughts and ideas in a variety of ways.
