In this pirate themed event, teams assemble with homemade rafts and race down the New River battling eachother and the spectators lined along the river with water cannons. There is a festival in the park with food provided by local restaurants, a kids zone, music, outstanding raffle items, and a beer truck. All proceeds of the event go to the Rotary Club of Fort Lauderdale's 1090 Foundation which award need-based college scholarships to local students. One of those Fort Lauderdale events not to be missed!
