Kicking off a three-month celebration of Andean culture, the Museum of Art | Fort Lauderdale’s “Wari: Pre-Inca Lords of Peru” Opening Day will offer fun for the whole family.
Activities include docent tours, a Wari film series, face painting, story time, and authentic Andean musical performances.
#WariMOAFL is the first North American exhibition to explore the art of the Wari, a highly sophisticated society that existed in the Andes Mountains of Peru between C.E. 600 and 1000. The landmark exhibition explores this relatively little-known period in pre-Columbian South American history by way of 150 works of art in a variety of Wari media. FREE with Museum Admission
