Lonesome River Band has long been one of the most popular and influential acts in bluegrass today. Since their 1991 breakout CD Carrying The Tradition Lonesome River Band has been one the bluegrass world's top festival headliners and a concert circuit marquis band. Leading the band is longtime member, Virginia Country Music Hall of Famer, and multi-award winning banjo picker, Sammy Shelor (banjo and harmony vocals) who has put together a wealth of talent that include Brandon Rickman (lead & harmony vocals and guitar), Mike Hartgrove (fiddle), Barry Reed (bass, harmony vocals), and Randy Jones (lead & harmony vocals, mandolin) all performing the distinctive LRB sound fans love.
