For one night only, Benjamin Grosvenor, the 20-year old British keyboard sensation, will perform works of Bach, Beethoven, Chopin, Scriabin, Granados and Johann Strauss in his only Florida engagement this season, presented by The Friends of Chamber Music Miami. Concert includes a pre-curtain lecture by musicologist and piano music authority Frank Cooper at 7 PM. Grosvenor is a prodigy who burst on the musical scene by winning the keyboard section of the BBC Young Musician of the Year competition at age 11 and has matured into one of the most sought-after concert artists before the public today. Acclaimed for his electrifying technical mastery, musical intelligence, rich tonal palette and deep expressiveness, Grosvenor has appeared in high profile recitals in Europe and the United States and with major orchestras, including London Philharmonic, Philharmonia Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic, Tokyo Symphony and Brazilian Symphony.
