Matthew Kaner moved to Los Angeles in late 2006 from Santa Barbara, California to pursue music. Silverlake was a place he spent a lot of time going to concerts throughout the years leading up to the move, so it only seemed right to call it home. Liquid Love Letter is the synthesis of the last ten years of Matthew's musical life. in 2010, while watching a documentary made about friend Maynard James Keenan of Tool's wine operation in Jerome, Arizona, the name was solidified. in early 2011, the studio team went to work in Silverlake to record what became IF / THEN (released on November 29th, 2011.) With the help of friends such as Bo Koster (My Morning Jacket), Morgan Kibby (White Sea/M83), Jason Soda (Everest), Joey Waronker (Atoms for Peace, Beck, Norah Jones, REM), Ben Peeler (The Wallflowers, Shakira), Erik Arvinder (Lykki Li, Lady Gaga), a ten track studio album was imagined. $10.00
