John McCutcheon, assistant professor at theUniversity of Montana, will present "Extreme GenomeReduction in Insect Endosymbionts: Walking the Line between Organelles and Bacteria" on Monday, February 25from 12:20 to1:20 p.m. in the Cox Science Center, Room 166. McCutcheon's lab explores theinteractions between animals and microbes, focusing onthe nutritional bacterial symbionts of sap-feeding insects.
