Mancie is a garage rock band led by Andrea Montgomery. Based in Williamsburg, they've enthusiastically been called "The Runaways meet Black Sabbath" at a recent show on the up-and-coming New York concert circuit, and the comparison is clear when they bring their gritty distorted guitar parts and emotionally-driven rock sound to the stage. Bikini Carwash
BIKINI CARWASH is a four-member rock/punk/pop band from Brooklyn, New York. Three of us are genuinely nice, good people. Two of us dislike showering. And one of us disrobes during each gig. Thundera
Clarissa (or Rissa, for short), the lead singer and lyricist for the band Thudera, decided a long time ago that she wanted to form a band with other girls, once she started writing songs in high school. After she graduated and started attending college, she placed ads looking for other female musicians around campus who wanted to be in a punk rock band. Marianna, the guitarist, was one of the first who answered, and once the two met, they hit it off and knew that they wanted to be in a band together. Rissa showed Marianna some of the lyrics she had written, and the two started creating music to go with the words, but they knew that they needed to find a drummer. Luckily Marianna's sister, Stephanie, placed an ad online looking for a female drummer, and soon after found Bruni. The three girls met once summer started and have been writing and playing songs ever since. Currently the band is recording their songs with a producer, and will hopefully be finished by fall 2012. Eva & Her Virgins
EVA AND HER VIRGINS is a dark electro-pop band from New York City that was formed in 2010 by Jabbath Roa and Emily Powers. Jabbath is a classically trained composer/producer who was mentored by Morton Subotnick. Emily Powers is a singer/songwriter and performance artist. The group's brand of music is influenced by various styles, ranging from Electronic Rock and Pop Punk, to Hip Hop. Eva and Her Virgins has created a major New York City underground music following, which includes celebrity fans. Their live shows have gained recognition among the "who is who" of music and nightlife in New York City. The new album, “Killing Liittle Humans Inc.” was produced by Jabbath Roa and mixed by the Mix Factory and David Siskovic (DANGEROUS MUSE, JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE, CUT COPY, GWEN STEFANI).
