Saturday, February 16, 2013, 7:30pm Gusman Concert Hall Honor Wind Ensemble Honor Symphonic Band Frost Wind Ensemble Thomas Keck, festival host, conductor Neil Jenkins, guest conductor Robert W. Rumbelow, guest conductor The Frost School of Music Honor Bands Festival brings 250 talented high school instrumentalists from thestate of Florida to the Frost School of Music campus for two days of rehearsals andmaster classes by Frost artist faculty, culminating in a final evening concert that is free and open to the public. Prominent conductors from the ranks of the finest university wind band programs work each year with the Honor Wind Ensemble, Honor Symphonic Band, and Frost Wind Ensemble. This year's guest conductors are Neil Jenkins, executive director of the Florida Bandmasters Association, and composer-arranger Robert W. Rumbelow, Brownfield Professor of Music at the University of Illinois and conductor of the Illinois Wind Symphony.
