He explores the curiosity of its storyline, the novelties of its form, the originality of its orchestration, and the demands it makes on performers. Then, musicians from the Frost Symphony Orchestra and The Cleveland Orchestra Miami share the stage with guest conductor Giancarlo Guerrero in a "side-by-side" workshop exploring new works by Frost student composers, each inspired by or responding to the Berlioz. The echoes of this programmatic masterpiece resound today in new sounds and approaches.
