The SoundScape Cinema Series, an Arts in the Parks program presented by the City of Miami Beach, presents free, weekly outdoor screenings on the huge wall of the New World Center, 500 17th Street (near Washington Ave and Lincoln Road) in Miami Beach on Wednesday nights. Bring blankets, beach chairs and picnics (but no glass please). NO TICKETS REQUIRED.
The featured film Wednesday, March 13th at 8pm is The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (2001), directed by Peter Jackson and starring Elijah Wood, Ian McKellen, Cate Blanchett, Orlando Bloom and Sean Astin.
