Diving into a Sea of Coding: Exploring the Surface of ICD-9 and Reaching New Depths with ICD-10
The ICD-9 coding system will remain in effect for approximately two more years before we transition to ICD-10, but it’s still important to continue sharpening your ICD-9 coding skills. There won’t be any new ICD-9 codes until the ICD-10 transition, so why is it important to attend another ICD-9 coding class? This is a great question with an even greater answer. Even for the ICD-9 coding masters, surviving the force of the ICD-10 coding current will require many hours of instruction. While it’s still too early to begin in-depth ICD-10 training, ICD-10 still awaits on the horizon. Transitioning to ICD-10 will be a significant challenge for beginner and even advanced coders. This seminar provides an ideal opportunity to gain proficiency in ICD-9 guidelines and code assignments, so that ascending into ICD-10 will be a breeze.
