We know you will want to be included in this exciting evening featuring delicious gourmet food and delightful music as we celebrate the partnership between the Museum and FIU, while sharing in a wonderful Jewish tradition. Celebrating the triumph of good over evil, and the survival of the Jewish people in the face of destruction, A Night at the Museum - A Purim Celebration of Jewish Museum of Florida-FIU is an evening of fine food, fun and entertainment. The story of Queen Esther and her Uncle Mordecai's saving the Jews of Shushan, Persia is still celebrated around the world. This tradition began in Florida in the 1880s when Purim Balls were the social event of the season in Jacksonville, Tallahassee, Pensacola and Key West. The Jewish Museum of Florida carries on this annual tradition through a festive gala that brings Florida Jewish history to life. The gala begins at 6:30 p.m. and includes dinner, beverages, and music.
