What is the Global Game Jam?The Global Game Jam (GGJ) is a global event taking place on the last weekend of January all around the world. During this time local jam sites are form in different cities all around the world where programmers, musicians, artists and all every other kind of game enthusiasts gather to develop games over a period of 48 Hours. A: Although having computer skills is helpful, code experience is not necessary. Designers, developers, artists and anyone is welcome to try their hand at making a game during the GGJ.Is the GGJ only for professionals? A: No. Everyone is welcome.Food...? A: In our attempt to make this Jam available to everyone we have chanrge no admission. Which we believe it to be great but it means one of two things for you, the participant: Bring Your Own: Make sure to pack up food for the event, you will be there from Saturday to Sunday afterall. We also have vending machines in the building and food places within walking distance who have agreed to give a discount to the event participants, many of them also open 24 hours. Food Sponsors: We'll be looking for sponsors up until the day of the event in order to get funding to purchase snacks and drinks for the envent. For more FAQsCheck the official Global Game Jam WebSite:  http://globalgamejam.org/wiki/basic-questions We will provide a space for the presentations and tech talks along with separate working spaces for small teams.  We have Computers  and internet on site available with the following software. But we strongly encourage you to bring your own rig as the number of computes is limited (Amount soon to follow).  Software Available: Unity3DBlenderMicrosoft Visual Studio 2010 with XNA 4.0GameMaker (On Demand)GIMP Teams are free to use the space at the host venue.
