The McCoy Tyler Band: You can call it alt. country, you can call it modern folk--but no matter what label you put on it, in the current climate of popular music The McCoy Tyler Band's songs are refreshingly lucid, rootsy, and at times downright danceable. With influences ranging from Neil Young to The Devil Makes Three, Townes Van Zandt to Railroad Earth, with a little Bill Monroe and Tony Rice thrown in for good measure, this progressive acoustic trio from Santa Cruz, CA will have you out of your seat and dancing in no time. Left Coast Country: Left Coast Country is a modern string band formed in 2010 from the exploding newgrass scene in Portland, OR. Left Coast’s live shows are a fusion of traditional and progressive; composed of fiery heartfelt foot stompers, rolling country ballads, and powerful instrumental soundscapes. They have been labeled “innovaters of the genre” (M. Grusauskas – Santa Cruz Patch). Since the July 2012 release of their self titled second album, Left Coast Country has been touring nearly non-stop and has co-billed with acclaimed artists such as Danny Barnes, Pert’ Near Sandstone, The Hackensaw Boys, Fruition String Band, along with many more. “For LCC pickin’ is not a hobby, not a job, but a way of life” (B. Salmon – Bend Bulletin). Dedication to their craft has made Left Coast Country one of the hardest working, up and coming acts in the business.
