December 2, 2012 10:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Admission: Free Benefiting: Abandoned Pet Rescue and VPCA Victoria Park Cause 4 Paws Pet Festival 2012 This year’s event marks the fourth year that the Victoria Park Civic Association has teamed up to support Ft. Lauderdale’s only no-kill animal shelter organization, Abandoned Pet Rescue. This year’s event will take place Sunday December 2nd from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Victoria Park at Broward Boulevard and Victoria Park Rd. Admission to the event is free. This year you can participate in our one mile walk through historic and scenic Victoria Park. The walk starts at 11.am. Registration will be open at 10:30 a.m. at the park. At Noon join us for our “Adopt Me Pet Parade” where you will meet some of the most adorable animals who can be immediately adopted. At 1 p.m. the Fun Dog Show begins with categories including: Best Tail Wagging Best Kisser Most Mysterious Heritage Most Obedient Most Original Costume Best Trick Best Vocal Performance Best Mirror Image — A class to judge which handler looks most like their canine companion. Least Obedient — Can’t heel, can’t sit; just wants to do his own thing. Most Glamorous — This category is for canines with class and a little bit of attitude. Obvious attention to grooming and strutting by the pet and owner helps. The Gold Bone Award (Best In Show) – People’s Choice Winner from all the categories. Also don’t miss our Pet-Arazzi photo contest, meet our mystical Paw Reader, learn about having your pet micro-chipped or have a doggie DNA test.
