Organization Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) Primary Category Charity & Social Events Extras The Vanity Fair International Party, MOCA's official kick off for Miami Art Week, Art Basel Miami Beach and Design Miami/, coincides with the opening reception of Bill Viola; Liber Insularum. Recognized as one of the pioneers and leading practitioners of video art, Viola is an iconic contemporary artiar who draws from Eastern and Western spiritual traditions. His video installations explore human subjects such as birth, death and the nature of consciousness. The exhibition is part of the Knight Exhibition Series. The reception, from 7 to 9 p.m., is free for MOCA members, North Miami residents, ABMB and Design Miami/ VIP card holders and $35 for all others. RSVP's are strongly recommended.
