Comprised of Ben Rothbard (vocals, harmonica and guitar), Johnny Zambetti (lead guitar and mandolin), Cecil Campanaro (bass), Lyle Riddle (drums) and Gabe Feenberg (piano, accordion and trombone), Terraplane Sun has performed on sold-out bills supporting such acts as The White Buffalo, The Alabama Shakes, Nikka Costa and most recently, Donovan Frankenreiter at Fiesta Del Sol. Critically acclaimed 2011 sophomore album, Coyote, includes a cover of Wanda Jackson's "Funnel of Love," the video for which recently premiered online in the Top 10 Most Viewed on MTV Buzzworthy. The band just completed a new 6-song EP, produced by Dave Trumfio (Wilco, My Morning Jacket, Ok Go) and mixed by Richard Furch (Prince, Fountains of Wayne, Outkast). Said EP includes "Get Me Golden," currently spinning on KCRW and STAR 98.7, featured in a national Citibank television ad campaign and in recent feature films, 21 Jump Street and What To Expect When You're Expecting. Terraplane Sun is in the midst of headlining a weekly residency at The Satellite in Los Angeles throughout July and rocks Sunset Strip Music Festival in August.
