February 8-10, 2013, marks the 12th Annual Great EsSkate. This is not a race event, but skaters and bicyclists will cover about 75 miles in the Miami Beach area over five “social” skates, two of them police escorted Police volunteers control traffic so skaters can take to the neighborhoods and downtown streets on their skates. Skate volunteers organize this annual fund raiser to benefit the Miami Beach Police Athletic League (PAL).
